Occupational First Aid

This course is made up of three separate units which put together provides the knowledge necessary for an occupational first aider. The course will also provide information on state and federal legislations as it applies to workplace first aid.  Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 3 years with the Advanced Resuscitation component being updated every 12 months.
 
Pre-/co-requisite:  

Nil

Participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction.

Nominal Duration: 

30 hours

Course content:

1. Apply legislation in the workplace

2. Manage safety in the workplace

3. Management of toxic hazards

4. Care of welfare in the workplace
