Incident Investigation
Overview:
This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out OHS Incident Investigation with-in an organisation.

Course Objectives:
This course is designed as a hands on workshop to give managers and supervisors, of all sizes of organisations practical skills to:

Participate in the planning, conduct and reporting of investigations of incidents which have resulted in or have a potential to result in, injury or damage.

Carry out analysis on investigation findings using a formalised incident analysis tool.

Implement risk management strategies to control OHS risk.
Course Content:

Facilitate in the initial assessment of a situation

Participate in the establishment of an investigation process

Collect information and data for analysis

Analyse information and data gathered to identify immediate and underlying causes and practical prevention measures

Compile investigation report
Who Should Attend:
Supervisors, managers and anyone who has the responsibility for OHS incident investigation with-in an organisation
Training Methods:
The course will be presented by group discussion, role plays, video, syndicate exercise, action plan development, case studies, audit practical exercises, lecture and report writing. The course is interactive and practical.
Pre-requisites:
It is recommended participants have formal training within Risk Management.
